Paris Hilton shared a video of a Tom Cruise deepfake serenading her in a bathrobe to Elton John’s 1971 hit, “Tiny Dancer.” Posted to TikTok, Hilton’s video went viral with nearly 4 million views. “Nothing like being serenaded with my favorite @Britney Spears and @Elton John song 😹 #ThatsHot #ButCouldBeHotter @Tom” Paris is referring to the “Tiny Dancer” remake, “Hold Me Closer,” with Britney Spears in her TikTok caption.
While holding matching sparkling tumblers, the heiress asks the young Tom Cruise doppelganger to “sing me that song again.” He asks, “Which one?” Paris cheekily smiles in her signature bubblegum-pink velour tracksuit, “You know which one.” The fake Cruise then seriously begins singing the song’s chorus. Hilton nods her head along and leaves the frame, returning with her dog to join in on the fun. The doppelganger hands Paris the tiny pink sunglasses that were tucked in his robe’s pocket and she proceeds to put them on her dog. As the lookalike cozies up to Paris at the end of his tune, she says, “It’s good… but not great. You should stick to acting,” and walks off. He nods in agreement then proceeds to make expressions that are scarily on point to the real Tom Cruise.
Hilton’s 7.2 million fans were left in hysterics, with one user commenting, “What is going on?” with a laughing emoji. Another one writes, “I don’t understand what I’m watching but I’m here for it.” One person said of the doppelganger, “Why does Tom Cruise look the same age as when I had a crush on him 25 years ago this is freaking me out.” An eagle-eyed fan pointed out the deepfake filter glitching, “At the very way end you can see the filter come off his face hahah Not Tom Cruise y’all but damn technology is getting crazy.” Another fan just shared their enjoyment writing, “I’m very confused but I’m vibing.”
The fake Tom Cruise’s last TikTok video featured Paris back in June heading to a “premiere.” In the video, the two are seen dressed to the nines and Paris asks “Tom” while he embraces her, “Do you think people are really going to believe that we’re a couple?” To which he cheekily replies, “I think most people will believe anything.”
