If you ride on Route 35, you might have saw some zombies lurking throughout Holmdel, New Jersey last weekend. Were they real flesh eating corpses’? No. Were they just a bunch of actors wearing some make up, shooting a “Walking Dead” spin off series? Yes.

Apparently, Holmdel has a few locations that directors and producers of the show thought were perfect for a spinoff of “The Walking Dead” zombie franchise. Locations that they saw fit were the Holmdel Motor Inn and a closed garden nursery. The spinoff series titled, “The Isle of the Walking Dead“, takes place in a post-apocalyptic Manhattan but the true star is the town of Holmdel, New Jersey.
