Aussie’s Iggy Azalea announced on Twitter yesterday (July 15) that she’s taking a few years off of music to “focus on other creative projects” and things she’s “passionate and inspired by.”
“End of an Era” is so special to me because after I drop my album next month iam going to take a few years to focus on other creative projects and things I’m feeling passionate and inspired by, beyond music.

Very sad to lose such a great artist and good at what she does, but if it's for your good and you're secure in what you want, shine a lot in your future and success. I will always support you and wish you the best. I love you queen 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷❤️

The 31-year-old rapper, best known for her 2014 hit “Fancy,” her third studio album. While it’s unclear what other creative projects Azalea is working on, she has experience as a judge on TV shows like Australia’s The X Factor.
Despite her Australian background, she adopts a Southern drawl in her music. Per Daily Mail, Iggy was initially mentored by rapper T.I., who released her mixtape Ignorant Art in 2011.
The hip-hop artist was recently accused of darkening her skin to appear black or mixed-race (a practice known as blackfishing) in the music video for her song “I Am The Stripclub.” However, she denied trying to alter her appearance in this way, calling the claims “ridiculous” and saying she’s used the “same shade” of makeup for the last three years.
I think people are just confused because your skin looks darker in the pictures boohoo provided 😭 if they were edited in any way to make you look darker, just say that

I’m not wearing crazy dark makeup at ALL.
Everyone in the club scene looks darker, it’s a club scene!
I’m sick of ppl trying to twist my words or make shit a problem when all I’ve done is try a hair color. pic.twitter.com/CGQIOQiWGD

be honest, do u believe u could identify the woman in the right as a fully white woman? no, u couldn’t. iggy azaelea is blackfishing no doubt about it, and it doesn’t help with her past of cultural appropriation pic.twitter.com/uaL0gyk9gy
