Nick Jonas Recovering From A Cracked Rib Resulting From Bike Accident
Nick Jonas has revealed details following reports that he was hospitalized over the weekend, and that he is now on the mend after a biking accident.
The 28-year-old singer’s condition was brought up at the beginning of last night’s episode on The Voice by host Carson Daly, People reported.
“I’m feeling okay,” Jonas said. “I’ve been better, but I’m doing all right. I cracked a rib from a spill on a bike and a few other bumps and bruises, but I just want to go ahead and say that, in case I’m not as physically enthusiastic as I usually am. Blake, please don’t make me laugh too much because it kind of hurts.”
Blake Shelton couldn’t resist teasing the “Jealous” singer just a tad, “You’re just trying to get sympathy votes on this show.” To which Jonas replied, “I’m glad to be here.” He didn’t give any other details about his accident, though media outlets reported over the weekend that he was hospitalized for his injuries Saturday.
As we previously reported, this season is the Nick’s last on The Voice. Next season, his coaching spot will be filled by Ariana Grande.
Jonas appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show last week, joined by fellow The Voice judges Shelton and John Legend, where he was asked if he had any words of wisdom to share with 27-year-old Grande before she takes over the coaching gig.
He said, “Um, no. I mean, Ariana — as we all know — is one of the best singers in the game and she’s gonna be an incredible coach. I think the only advice I would give is just not to trust any one of you,” Jonas joked as he looked next time to the other two coaches. Surprised by Jonas’ dig at the coaches, they all laughed before Legend quipped, “We’ve been feeding her lots of useful advice,” which then garnered a sarcastic reply from Jonas, “Yeah, I’m sure. Very useful. But she’s gonna kill it. She’ll be great.
