‘Jersey 4 Jersey’ Broadcast Raises $5.9 Million
The New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund announced today (April 28) that the Jersey 4 Jersey broadcast fundraising event held last week has already raised $5.9 million.
While additional funds are still coming in, this brings the NJPRF first-month total raised to $26.6 million. The organization revealed that all of the money raised by the broadcast will support their efforts on behalf of New Jersey’s most vulnerable during the pandemic.
“We pulled together an amazing Jersey event in a very short time,” said Tammy Murphy, First Lady of New Jersey and founder of NJPRF. “The talent we assembled was world class and completely committed to helping the people of New Jersey. With this in mind, the real thanks goes to our essential workers and, in turn, to the massive audience who watched and generously donated to help those impacted by this pandemic.”
The Jersey 4 Jersey lineup included Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Tony Bennett, Charlie Puth, Danny DeVito, Chris Rock, and many more.
Those who tuned in to the broadcast were able to hear multiple live performances as well as inspirational messages to honor those currently fighting COVID-19 here in the Garden State.
