Live Nation Launches Global Relief Fund For Live Music Crews
COVID-19 has put all concerts and touring on pause indefinitely for 2020. Live Nation wants to extend a helping hand to the crews who depend on shows to make a living around the world.
“Live shows are not possible without the incredibly hardworking crew members behind the scenes each and every concert,” Live Nation shared to Instagram. “We are extending a helping hand to those workers who need it the most by announcing the #CrewNation Fund.”
President and CEO of Live Nation Entertainment, Michael Rapino, shared to Twitter that his family will be donating $250,00 to the fund. In addition, Live Nation has committed $10 million to Crew Nation while contributing an initial $5 million.
Crew Nation is powered by Music Forward Foundation, a charitable 5013c organization, that will be administering the fund.
