Donovan Mitchell Of The Utah Jazz Tests Positive For Coronavirus
Donovan Mitchell of NBA’s Utah Jazz has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to ESPN. He is the second Jazz player to test positive. Rudy Gobert was the first.
The Jazz announced Thursday that a second player has tested positive but did not identify Mitchell.
“We are working closely with the CDC, Oklahoma and Utah state officials, and the NBA to monitor their health and determine the best path moving forward,” the Jazz said in a statement.
At Monday’s media availability, Gobert jokingly touched all the microphones and tape recorders at the end of his session with reporters. ESPN is reporting that the players on the teams that the Jazz has played in the past ten days (Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors.) are being told to self-quarantine.
