Putting a Grand in Brett’s Hand
We’ve been back with 5 chances a day to put a “Grand in Your Hand” on Magic 98.3, and it got me to thinking what I’d do if I actually had $1000 to mess around with!
Let’s be honest – if anyone won that much money, would you really save it all and invest it?? Okay, maybe a bit, but let’s dream and think about spending ALL of it!
First thing’s first – I’d be a bit selfish. That’s right – I’ll admit it. I’d book a nice day-long spa trip, complete with multiple massages, skin treatments, pool time… You name it, I’ll take it!
Another thing I’d love to do is get some summer concerts on the books – Keith Urban is coming to our area this summer along with The Chainsmokers down on the Beach in AC. I remember seeing P!nk on the beach last summer, and that concert was one of the most fun in my life!
Okay, now that I got the selfish stuff out of the way, I’d have to say that next, I’d take my parents out to a nice fancy dinner. You know, lobster, filet mignon, lots of wine… the works! My dad just retired, so between celebrating that and all of the food that my mom sends me home with each time I go to my parents’ place for a visit, it’s the least I could do!
Both of those things sound kind of ordinary. So what kind of weird, bizarre, reckless things would I do after getting $1000? Well, that’s not too hard. Have you ever been out and about in the city on one of those red bike tours? Where you go bar hop with a group of 10 or so friends and then ride this huge bike that looks like a small bus in between bars? Neither have I! Why not spend some of it on that?
And oh yeah, it’s Debbie Mazella’s birthday next month, so anything I’d have leftover would probably be used to get her another cardboard cutout of another one of her fave rock stars… because that’s just how I roll!
