Mike McGinn’s Favorite Christmas Presents Ranked

Waking up Christmas morning and spending time around the Christmas tree with friends and family is my part of the holiday season. But let’s face it, as much as we love being around our loved ones, we really want to start unwrapping those gifts.

Here are my top 5 items I hope Santa leaves for me this year.

• Cologne

  Every year I know Santa will leave me a bottle of cologne under my Christmas and I’m always happy when I see it. I know a lot of people say that cologne or perfume is such a generic gift and there isn’t any thought behind it, but when I’m around people and they say, “Wow Mike you smell so good” I thank Santa every time!

  

• Carhartt Hoodies & Beanies

  Winter is my favorite season of the year because I love the cold weather. But as much as I love the cool brisk air, I still need to stay warm on those really cold days so I don’t get sick. My only problem is that I hate wearing so many layers. To wear a jacket on top of a hoodie is just way to uncomfortable. This is why I need some Carhartt sweaters and beanies this holiday season. Carhartt makes by far the warmest clothes you can wear and still be comfortable.

• Mets Season Tickets

  I know these aren’t in Santa’s budget, but a boy can dream right? There is nothing in the sports world that I love more than my New York Mets. For a 162 days throughout the year I sit in front on my TV screen and watch every pitch of every game because I am an absolute diehard fan. As much as I would love to go to more games during the season, I simply can’t afford to go because every year ticket prices just keep going up and up. But if I could, I would love to be a season ticket holder. Once I hit Powerball this will a reality.

• Yeezy’s

  If you know me, then you know I love throwing on a pair of brand new kicks, especially Yeezy’s by Kanye West. Yes, these sneakers will cost over $300, but it’s all worth it to me because they aren’t just the most comfortable sneaker on the planet, they look good too! So Santa, if you’re listening I’ll take a pair of Yeezy Wave Runners please.

  

• PS5

  Judge me all you want, but I am a proud video game nerd. I love the thrill of getting lost in a good story line or jumping on with some friends to play a few games. When the PS5 was announced I immediately had my heart set on buying one, but that hasn’t been the case. To get your hands on a PS5 seems to be an impossible mission because the second they hit the market they are instantly sold out. This is guaranteed to be a hot item this holiday season so if you wake up and unwrap a PS5 on Christmas morning just know that I am super jealous of you and you just hit the jack pot.
