It’s been seven years since the world lost pop music icon Whitney Houston.

On Feb. 11, 2012, the singer was found unresponsive in her hotel room. Later, Houston was pronounced dead at the age of 48.

From her incredible vocal talents to her long and impressive body of work, Houston gave the world the gift of beautiful music. Take a look back at some photos of the singer through her life.
