Tis The Season For Charitable Giving… Download

Download December 4th, 2016

Every holiday season we are inundated with phone calls, post cards, tweets, texts, e-mails and even TV and radio commercials reminding us that this is the time of year to remember those that are less fortunate.

We want to spread a little holiday cheer and make a donation to charity, but to which one? We hear and read news stories of people that have been taken advantage of by some “So Called” charities, so you can understand why one might be a bit reserved in making that donation.

Today, Steve Lee, Director of the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs joins us to discuss how we can tell the difference between the really good charitable organizations and those that are not so good.

Then we spend a little time with a teacher from Metuchen that started a charity to help fight childhood slavery overseas.
