Robert Hegyes in his Metuchen High School football uniform went onto play Juan Epstein on the TV series “Welcome Back Kotter” as well as Det. Manny Esposito on TV’s “Cagney & Lacey”. Robert also guest starred on numerous other TV shows during his career.
Robert began studying acting in earnest at Metuchen High School under the direction of Dr. Barton Shepard, Ph.D, in the mid-1960s.
