Adele: ‘If You Throw Something At Me, I’ll Kill You’
There’s been a troubling trend of throwing objects at performers on stage. And Adele has some strong words for concertgoers who have the audacity. During a recent Weekends with Adele show at The Colosseum in Las Vegas, the “Easy on Me” singer spoke about the etiquette people seem to lack as of late. Bebe Rexha, Ava Max, and Kelsea Ballerini have all been hit in the face on stage.
Don’t Mess With Adele
“Have you noticed how people are forgetting f—ing show etiquette at the moment,” Adele, 35, said. “People are throwing s— on stage. Have you seen them?” She then joked (but could definitely be serious), “I f—ing dare you — I dare you [to] throw something at me. I’ll f—ing kill you.” While using a t-shirt cannon immediately after, the Grammy winner pointed out the irony of firing the gifts to her fans. “Stop throwing things at the artist when you can shoot things at people,” she added with a laugh. “It’s a total reverse. I’ve gotta go back over and give my t-shirt gun back. These people have lost it. Can you imagine?” Watch the video Adele talks about concertgoers throwing things at artists:

Bebe Rexha was the first pop star to be attacked last month. As we previously reported, the singer-songwriter was performing in Manhattan when a concertgoer “thought it would be funny” to throw their phone at her face. This resulted in Rexha’s eye being black and blue and a laceration on her eyebrow. The man, Nicolas Malvanga, was arrested on several misdemeanor charges: two counts of third-degree assault as well as second-degree aggravated harassment, third-degree attempted assault and second-degree harassment.

His next court date is at the end of this month, and his lawyer told People in a statement at the time: “Nicolas, like many other fans, was hoping to interact in some way with Ms. Rexha as the phone was returned. It was never his intention to injure Ms. Rexha in any way.” Another male fan, who attacked singer Ava Max by slapping and scratching her face while rushing the stage, made a similar claim.

Adele isn’t the only performer to speak out on the assaults. Last week, Charlie Puth took to Twitter and shared his thoughts. He wrote in part, “It’s so disrespectful and very dangerous. Please just enjoy the music I beg of you…”
This trend of throwing things at performers while they are on stage must come to an end. (Bebe, Ava, AND NOW Kelsea Ballerini…) It’s so disrespectful and very dangerous. Please just enjoy the music I beg of you…
