Madonna Is Getting Sued Again For Being Late To Her Concerts
Madonna is, once again, in hot water regarding tardiness during her shows. Billboard is reporting that the singer is facing a class-action lawsuit in New York for taking the stage three hours late during her Madame X tour. She and Live Nation are getting sued for “false advertising, negligent misrepresentation, unfair and deceptive trade practices and unjust enrichment, among other charges.”
As we reported, Madonna was also sued in November for the same situation. A Florida man requested $15,000 in damages after he wasn’t granted a refund for tickets purchased on a show that started two hours late. During a Las Vegas show, Madonna reportedly commented on the suit, saying, “Here is something that you all need to understand and that is a queen is never late.”
For the most recent lawsuit, they point out that when a show starts late, “ticket holders under the age of 18 were no longer legally able to attend without an adult — rendering their tickets ‘worthless’ — while others were forced to leave due to work and school commitments the following day.” In addition, “because the concerts didn’t end until around 1 a.m., many ticket holders who remained for the duration became stranded at the venue, either because they missed rides they had arranged prior to the concerts or because they were unable to access the metro, which had already closed. The suit further contends that because concertgoers were forced to surrender their phones upon entering the venue, they were unable to arrange for a later ride once it became clear that the start times would be substantially delayed.”
There have been numerous concert goers who have gone to twitter to complain about Madonna’s tardiness over the past few months.
Turning up late and missing songs ain’t cutting it when you pay good money

We were at the Las Vegas show on Thursday-we were told to arrive no later than 9:30-we all sat there for 2 1/2 HOURS before she came out. Then...no apology...said it was OUR fault for arriving so early. Condescending & alienating all night long. Why??? RIP to our EX-queen.

Las Vegas news: @Madonna 90 minutes late for her concert. Fans boo and chant "refund!" I'm guessing they weren't really fans, just Vegas tourists, probably already loaded & angry at losing their money at the roulette table, killing time before the sun comes up.

It was my first time seeing you on November 7 in Las Vegas. It was a dream come true for me. Show was great, but I will never again pay to see you. You’re so inconsiderate. First Lady Michelle Obama is ALWAYS on time. There is NO excuse for you to always be late.
