Billie Eilish Announces That She Is Performing At The Oscars
Billie Eilish stole the show at the Grammy Awards this past Sunday, and now she is adding on to her already extraordinary 2020. The singer has just posted that she perform at the upcoming Academy Awards.
The post is vague, but since she announced two weeks that she would be singing the forthcoming theme song for James Bond: No Time To Die, it is a safe assumption that she will be performing that.
On the red carpet for the Grammys, Eilish confirmed that the theme song was actually completed. She said, “Writing a Bond theme song is like one of I feel like the biggest goals as a musician and songwriter.” She went on to talk about her brother and collaborator Finneas and adds, “Subconsciously and consciously, we’ve been trying to write a Bond theme for our whole lives, so it’s pretty crazy.”
The Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, February 9, on ABC.
