Maroon 5 Releases ‘Memories’ and Honors Late Manager in Video
Maroon 5 released both a new song and video for “Memories” today. The song is a somber tune talking about nostalgia and missing someone, and the video is stripped-down and simple with close-up views of Adam Levine singing. At times in the video, he appears to be emotional. At the end, it reads,”For Jordi.”
Jordi (Jordan Feldstein) was Maroon 5’s manager and friend who died last year. When talking about Feldstein to Variety, Adam gets very candid. “It was a tragedy foisted upon and far and away one of the saddest moments of our lives, and personally of mine. This is a kid I’ve known since we were in diapers. He was one of the most important people in my life from a very early age,” he says.
Adam also adds, “It will always be something that’s missing in my life. I break down; I cry. We built this together, and it will never be complete without him. But at the same time, we know he wants us to keep trucking.”
