Free and Discounted Stuff for Election Day in New Jersey

Are you registered and are you voting? Great! Voting doesn’t cost you anything and you can’t buy freedom. However, some things won’t cost you a dime, and some deals you can get just because it’s Election Day.

Discounted Rides on Election Day

Let’s start with how you’re going to get to your polling place to cast your ballot. Maybe you’re not planning on voting because you can’t get a ride. If you have the Uber app, their website says you can, “Take a discounted ride to vote: We’re offering riders in the U.S. 50% off rides to their polling place (up to $10) when they use our new ‘Go Vote’ tile to book a ride.” This option is great, especially if you plan to ride Uber to your local voting spot.

Maybe you want to drive yourself to vote. No problem. Hertz will give you a deal if you rent one of their autos before November 5th. Their “Drive the vote!” promotion on their site says, “Americans are uniting to voice their vote, and we want to help. Get to the polls faster and easier with Hertz and enjoy one free day when you rent two (or more) days from one of our neighborhood locations.”

Election Day Free and Discounted Food

Another voting day offer from Uber is helping to save you the trouble of having to prepare some fancy election dinner. They’re giving you 25% off your Uber Eats order. Their offer is available “starting at 6 PM local time on November 5, 2024, and expires at 7 AM local time on November 6.” It’s worth mentioning that the maximum discount you can receive is fifteen dollars with a minimum order of twenty-five bucks. That’s sixty percent off a twenty-five-dollar order.

Here’s a sweet offer from Krispy Kreme. They’re giving any and every donut lover a “Free Original Glazed doughnut” at all of their participating shops in America. You can also get a new “I Voted” sticker to wear proudly while you munch on that complimentary fried cake ring.

Johnny Rockets is also helping feed America on Election Day. Maybe you’ll be dining on the boardwalk in Atlantic City or in Frank Sinatra’s hometown. All of Johnny’s New Jersey locations are hooking you up. Their Instagram page says, “Cast your vote, get a free shake! On November 5th, get a free shake with any purchase with proof of voting (show us your sticker) at participating Johnny Rockets locations.”

This New Jersey Restaurant Voted Best Pizza In State

The debate between New Jersey and New York on which state has the best pizza is a tale as old as time. Although New York is often named the winner –simply because they have yet to try New Jersey’s–this one pizza spot in the Garden State will give even the proudest New York pizza lover second thoughts.

According to Mashed, New Jersey’s best pizza place is Razza Pizza Artigianale located in Jersey City. Mashed discovered the joint by “listening to recommendations, reading reviews, researching awards, and doing some taste-testing.”

The site describes Razza Pizza Artigianale as a restaurant that “aspires to create the best possible pizza, and many customers believe they’re doing just that. While the menu tends to change depending on the season, the pepperoni pizza is a tried-and-true classic.”

Some recent reviews from Google about Razza Pizza Artigianale included: “The best ever in my book. Excellent choices of food, in addition to the best pizza. Excellent service, great people, wonderful attitude. You just can’t go wrong by selecting this place no matter what your occasion is.” Another commenter added, “Razza never disappoints. I have tried every pizza on the menu. They all do justice. Would love to give it 10 stars [out of five] if I could!”

Razza Pizza Artigianale is located on 275-277 Grove Street in Jersey City, NJ. They are open from Tuesday-Thursday, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday-Sunday, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The dining room is open Tuesday-Saturday for reservations only. Reservations can be made here. Takeout is available Tuesday through Sunday here. The restaurant is closed on Mondays.
