Franklin Animal Shelter Gets Awesome Award for Halloween Displays
With all the decorations and Halloween displays out there, it’s always fun to find one that creates a little buzz and gets people talking about its creativity, and is something unique.
Franklin Animal Shelter has done an awesome job with its displays this year. Here are a few of the ways they’ve got people talking and hope to create some awareness for all of the pets that are available for adoption at the shelter.
Here’s an example of some of the cool displays that you can stop by and check out at the Franklin Animal Shelter.
According to their website, Franklin Animal Shelter has completed close to five thousand adoptions. Sadly, nearly fifty percent of animals that arrive at shelters are strays, and over six million companion animals arrive at shelters each year.
Fortunately, we have a wonderful shelter right here in Central Jersey to visit if we’re looking for a rescue. This is a big decision, but one that will bring joy to your home for years to come. Many of the animals they offer will walk into your home as if they have always been there.
It’s an easy but thorough process if you’re looking to adopt. You fill out an application, have a conversation to learn which pet may be right for you, provide a few references, and take your forever friend home.
Some people think that they need to go elsewhere to get the specific breed or animal they want, not true. If you are looking for a specific breed or animal, you fill out an application and they keep you on file and contact you as soon as your preference becomes available.
Even if you’re not looking to adopt right now, there are other ways you can help. Volunteering at the Franklin Animal Shelter could be what you’re looking for. Volunteering is rewarding, and fun, and helps to improve the lives of the animals in their care. They’re always looking for volunteers to help the staff at various times of the day. So, if you’re at least sixteen years old, can work 2-3 hours a week, and are comfortable with working with both cats and dogs, you should stop by to learn more.
There are many things you can do including dog walking, monitoring the play yard, kennel cleaning, picking up donations, and more.
