Britney Spears Reveals ‘Girl Crushes’, Teases New Novel In Works
Britney Spears recently shared a list of celebrity women who “inspire” her. On Tuesday (Oct. 15), the singer posted to her Instagram Story, revealing some of her “crazy girl crushes,” which include Pamela Anderson, Selena Gomez, Kendall Jenner, Drew Barrymore, and Camila Cabello.
“Women I genuinely admire and have crazy girl crushes on [three kissy face emojis]!!!” she wrote. “I have girlfriends I hang out with every now and then but it’s not the same as when we were younger!!! But why isn’t it??? I wanted to share the women who inspire me!!!”
Spears reflected on her past friendships, noting how close she once was with some friends. So close that they would finish each other’s sentences and even adopt each other’s mannerisms.
“I wanted to share the women who inspire me!!!” Spears continued. “[Pamela Anderson] is a classic babe and seems so sweet!!!”
She also praised Natalie Portman, saying, “Natalie Portman because I feel like she’s the coolest person I ever met outside with her dog in New York and we had the same shirt on!!!”
Spears then mentioned Camila Cabello, writing, “Camila Cabello the singer because she’s so darn pretty and she makes me giggle out loud!!!” and added, “Her personality is so sweet and kooky I think it’s healthy to be silly!!! I wish I was more like that!!!”
Spears also expressed admiration for Kendall Jenner, asking, “is it even normal to be that pretty??? Geez.”
She went on to include Selena Gomez and Drew Barrymore, writing, “and the other two are Selena Gomez and Drew Barrymore they’re literally gorgeous!!!”
Despite sharing her inspirations, the singer admitted she had “no idea” why she was writing the note at the time.
Her list followed reflections on her female friendships: “I have girlfriends I hang out with every now and then but it’s not the same as when we were younger!!!”
Spears ended with, “I’m away writing my novel and learning about myself!!! But I do so miss being silly with the girls!!!”
In addition to her personal reflections, Spears also revealed that she’s working on a new project: “I’m away writing my novel and learning about myself.” Spears, who co-authored two books with her mother, Lynne Spears, 2000’s Heart to Heart and 2001’s A Mother’s Gift which released her 2023 tell-all memoir, The Woman in Me. As of press time, no further information about her new book has been shared. Spears also mentioned in January that she will “never return to the music industry.”
