Pink has been forced to cancel her upcoming concert in Switzerland due to health concerns.
Pink Forced To Cancel Concert
The “Just Like a Pill” singer, 44, took to Instagram on Tuesday (July 2) to announce the cancellation, expressing her deep regret and explaining that she had to follow her doctor’s orders.
“I am so sorry that I have had to cancel my show in Bern this Wednesday.” She told her 10.9 million followers that she does everything she can “to ensure I can perform for you every night, but after consultation with my doctor and exploring all options available, I’ve been advised that I’m unable to continue with the show tomorrow.”
Though the mother of two was looking forward to making memories with Swiss fans and sharing her show with them, she expressed how “disappointed” she felt having to cancel. She assured fans that tickets would be refunded before she wished “love and health” to her fans.
Her Switzerland stop was scheduled to take place on Wednesday (July 3) at Stadion Wankdorf in the Swiss capital as part of her ongoing Summer Carnival tour. There isn’t a rescheduled date, and she is scheduled to perform this Saturday, July 6th, in Copenhagen, Denmark. The tour has seen her perform over 70 shows across Europe and North America, with more than 30 additional dates scheduled through the end of 2024.
Her Swiss fans shared their support for Pink prioritizing her health and wrote things like, “I’m sure your heart is broken most, because you don’t want to disappoint your fans. But health first! So I hope nobody’s angry and everybody’s sending you lots of love and recovery vibes! Get well soon! We love you! [heart emojis].” Added another, “Take care of you, girl. We know you would never cancel a show unless it was absolutely necessary [heart emojis].” A third commented, “Aww I am so sorry you are unwell. We all know you would never cancel a show unless you had to. You are a machine but even machines malfunction and have to be fixed so make sure you give yourself time to recouperate [pink hearts emoji].”
The pop icon will return to the United States in August and conclude her Summer Carnival tour in South Carolina in November. She will visit major cities like Detroit, Raleigh, Atlanta, and Orlando.
The opening acts for Pink’s tour include Gayle, KidCutUp, and The Script in Europe, with Sheryl Crow joining The Script and KidCutUp for the North American leg.
The Grammy winner hadn’t shared what health concerns she is currently dealing with, but this isn't the first time she's had to cancel tour dates. Last October, she canceled the Vancouver leg of her tour due to a respiratory infection. Her doctor advised her unable to perform due to a sinus infection. Prior to that, she rescheduled two shows in Tacoma, Washington, citing “family medical issues”
