Prince Jackson Shares Note To Michael Jackson 15 Years After Death
On the 15th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death, his son, Prince Jackson, shared a note to honor his legendary father.
Prince Jackson’s Note To Michael Jackson
In a since-expired Instagram Story, the 27-year-old wrote: “Miss you pops,” over an image of MJ performing alongside fans during the 1993 Super Bowl XXVII halftime show. “The world felt better with you in it,” he added with Jackson’s 1985 song “We Are The World” playing as the Story’s audio.
Prince was 12 years old when Michael Jackson passed away on June 24, 2009, due to cardiac arrest. Prince, whose full name is Michael Joseph Jackson Jr., previously opened up about the way he honors the iconic pop legend.
In 2022, he told E! News that he has photos of him and his uncles at his home, as well as “artistic paintings of him around my house.” To continue his legacy, Prince told the publication that he likes to lead his life “with love, which is what he taught me and I try to help at least one person a day.”
Prince is the eldest of Michael’s three children. His biological mother is Debbie Rowe, the former wife of Jackson (1996 to 2000). Rowe signed over custody of Prince and his sister, Paris Michael Katherine, now 26, after Rowe and Jackson divorced. The youngest Jackson child is Bigi, 21, who was born from a surrogate whose identity is unknown.
Jackson Family Honors Michael Jackson’s Death Anniversary
Other members of the Jackson family paid tribute to Michael’s 15-year anniversary of his death. Jackie Jackson, Michael’s eldest brother and fellow Jackson 5 member, also shared a message on social media. Under a black and white image of himself with a young Michael, the 73-year-old wrote, “Hard to believe it’s been 15 years without you [bandaged heart emoji] We miss you everyday [dove emoji].”
Tito Jackson, the second eldest Jackson sibling, also shared a tribute to his brother on Instagram. Under a black and white portrait with Michael, the 70-year-old wrote the hashtags: “15yearswithoutmichaeljackson #gonetoosoon #alwaysinourhearts #MJ4ever #missyoumuch #nowords [crying emoji, broken heart emoji, teary-eyed emoji].”
Meanwhile, a new biopic titled Michael will star Jaafar Jackson, the King of Pop’s nephew, playing the icon in his adulthood. The casting for younger Michael will be played by Juliano Krue Valdi, who has been singing and dancing to the legend’s music on YouTube for years, which has acquired him a large following on social media.
Micheal will hit theaters in 2025.
