SKIMS Scores: WNBA Stars Shine In New Underwear Campaign
The WNBA Draft has come and gone. Now, WNBA fans are looking forward to the regular season, tournaments, All-Star games, and more. The league has been the topic of conversation for many, especially with recent draftees like Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Cameron Brink. And recently, some of the league’s biggest names joined Kim Kardashian’s new Skims underwear campaign.
Skims: The Official Underwear Partner of The WNBA
Kardashian’s shapewear and underwear line made some WNBA players the new faces of the brand’s Fits Everybody collection. Skims, the Official Underwear Partner of the WNBA, unveiled a new campaign featuring WNBA stars Kelsey Plum, Skylar Diggins-Smith, and DiJonai Carrington, as well as new draftee Cameron Brink. It also included retired three-time WNBA champ Candace Parker.
All of them are showcasing SKIMS’ Fits Everybody underwear collection, striking poses with basketballs and flaunting their seriously toned physiques. Each athlete sported the Fits Everybody Bandeau, priced at $28, available in a range of neutral hues. They also modeled different styles of the Fits Everybody briefs, starting at $20.
“I’m proud to launch this new WNBA campaign starring such an incredible cast of athletes. Championing women and women in sports is incredibly important to SKIMS,” stated Kim Kardashian, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer.
“Our brand DNA is rooted in inclusivity, representation, and women’s empowerment, which are values shared with the WNBA. We are honored to be the Official Underwear Partner of the league and look forward to continuing our work together throughout the season.”
Keeping Up with Skims
Many people are excited about the new underwear campaign. Some people even took to Reddit to share their excitement. “Wow, they look amazing. This might be the first Skims ad to influence me, nothing looks too small,” one person said. “This is awesome! Love all the attention that the WNBA has finally been getting. More things like this will just keep pushing the needle of equality forward,” another person said.
Someone pointed out how Kim Kardashian is “good at capitalizing off of pop culture moments.” They said, “She did it again, folks! lol. This year, WNBA has been a large topic, and Kim has found a way to enter the conversation. She’s a good businesswoman.”
Ever since SKIMS dropped the news of teaming up with the NBA, WNBA, and USA Basketball last fall, they’ve been making waves online with their viral campaigns. From the SKIMS Men’s Campaign starring NBA hotshot Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to the recent SKIMS March All-Stars campaign showcasing college basketball’s finest, the brand has been gaining a lot of attention. Now, with a focus on WNBA stars and legends, SKIMS is showing they’re not just dominating the locker room, but owning the whole court and then some.
