Britney Spears Thanks Her ‘Amazing Friends’
Britney Spears has a positive outlook on life. The singer shared her gratitude in an Instagram post over the weekend. Spears, 41, shared two photos of herself and a male friend snuggling up close as she smiles. She began her caption by writing: “I’m in such a beautiful location! l’m so lucky to have amazing friends !!! Positive affirmations are important to me at the moment.” Mentioning her divorce after one year of marriage to Sam Asghari, Spears said she is taking it “one day at a time and learning to breathe.” The “Princess of Pop” stated the importance of self-love in her lengthy caption, adding that she woke up and cried in gratitude for waking up in “such a beautiful place.”
She then admitted to being addicted to Instagram at the moment. As we previously reported, the singer recently posted a video dancing with butcher knives. Though she claimed they weren’t real and that she was copying Shakira, fans took to social media to express their concern for her puppies. After cops were called to her house for a welfare check, Spears made another video dancing with knives and doubled down on the knives being props. She wrote over the weekend: “I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA. These are not real knives. No one needs to worry or call the police.” She ended her caption by adding, “Cheers to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks.”

Elsewhere in Spears’ recent post, she revealed she is reading Scott Westerfield’s Uglies. The book set in a dystopian world in which everyone is considered an “ugly,” but then turned “pretty” by extreme cosmetic surgery when they reach the age of 16. Relating to the book’s theme, Spears says she knows the feelings of being “demoralized and embarrassed.” Growing up as a pop star at just 15 years old, Spears said she’s “very sensitive and incredibly hard on myself. I have social anxiety and do equine therapy with horses !!!” She concluded her post by saying, “Nobody is probably reading this, but hopefully most can understand where I’m coming from.”
