Meghan Trainor Apologizes For Cursing Out Teachers
Meghan Trainor is apologizing for her recent comments talking down on teachers. The “Made You Look” singer posted a video apologizing for her “careless” comments about teachers and gave an explanation about planning to homeschool her children.
“Teachers of TikTok and teachers of the world, I recently said ‘F teachers’ on the podcast and it’s not how I feel,” the 29-year-old said on TikTok Sunday (April 23). “I was fired up because we were talking about how sending your kid to school here in America is so horrific. And what all of us have to go through, especially teachers, is not normal. And not okay.”
The “All About That Bass” singer added that she said “F teachers” because she and her husband were bullied by teachers. Her comments were meant for their teachers and not all teachers, she explained. “I love teachers, I fight for teachers,” she continued in the TikTok. “I think they have the hardest job. And they are the most underpaid. They’re the most underappreciated. When they literally raise all of us.”
@meghantrainor @galsgotmoxie thank you for making your video and for bringing attention to this. I am sorry for being careless with my words. I LOVE teachers and I am here for you ❤️ Let’s work to make schools a better place together
