Waffle House is an American brand known for many things including its 24-hour policy. The reason behind the fight isn’t catching the audience’s attention as much as the altercation itself. A chair is thrown at one of the employees. However, like an action movie star she doesn’t brace for the impact, she grabs the chair and perfectly deflects it. Though it doesn’t stop there as before this the fight continued behind counters as shown in the video.
Two women climb up trying to reach the female employee after what appears to be a jar of sugar is thrown at them. The same employee has then seen landing uppercuts on her would-be attacker after she fell off of the counter and into the employee’s only section. Thankfully other employees and bystanders were able to break up the fight as it became more of a group brawl. The employee in question is being ganged up on by multiple people.

All while the events are captured on camera one patron calls out “I just want my waffle”. This caused people online to give the waffle house employee some respect. Saying how this is a harsh reminder that you should never fight a waffle house employee because of their 24-hour policy they are built differently. Or how she unlocked her ultra instinct during the fight. This is a clever reference to the popular fighting show Dragon Ball Super. One commenter even went as far as to compare the training to that of our military.
I still don’t know how or why the argument began in the first place. But one thing is for sure, Waffle House will only close in the worst of conditions and clearly, this was not one of those times. That employee gave waffles and a side of hands for free.
