Get Ready Superstar Super Nintendo World Is Opening In The US.
Time to jump into the warp pipe and head off to a land of Goomba’s and Toads as according to Yahoo Super Nintendo World will open up their doors at Universal Studios in Hollywood this coming February. This lines up with the release of the Super Mario Movie premiering on February 17th.
Though instead of a standalone part Super Nintendo world will act as a vital addition to the experience of those who visit the California based theme park. Though this isn’t the first location to open as this park is coming from across the seas from Nintendo’s home country of Japan. Where the first Super Nintendo World opened in Osaka back in 2021.

The park was met with great success as it incorporated the latest technology into the main attraction that is Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, an Augmented reality go kart simulator that makes you feel as if you were actually racing against some of your favorite Mario characters. However that’s it as far as rides go, besides a slow paced Yoshi ride, but that has yet to be announced at the US location. Don’t worry you’ll still be able to eat amazing themed food and buy exclusive merch.

One item is the powerband which can be purchased while entering the park. It unlocks exclusive interactions within the park as hidden question blocks can be scans for coins. Though we will have to wait a bit longer to see just how much the US location takes from it’s abroad counterpart. One thing that for sure is you will be able to meet some of the iconic video game characters and even get your picture with them. A second US location based in Florida is also in the works, but as of right now information regarding that is limited.
The Super Mario Movie is jumping into theaters the same day and is Nintendo’s first real attempt at an animated movie, so based off what I’ve seen of the original location I truly hope this keeps up the same standards and quality as the Osaka location.
