Katy Perry Releases ‘Smile’ And Finds Out She Might Be Related To Taylor Swift
Katy Perry has released a new single, “Smile,” and announced that it is also the title to her forthcoming album.
She explained the process of writing “Smile,” saying, “Step right up! Step right up! KP5 is called #SMILE. I wrote the title track from the album when I was coming through one of the darkest periods of my life and had lost my smile. This whole album is my journey towards the light – with stories of resilience, hope, and love.”
Perry also addressed a rumor that might be related to Taylor Swift. In a recent interview, Perry was informed about a story that the singers are ninth cousins. Although Perry called the theory “fanfic,” the interviewer pointed out that the evidence on MyHeritage.com is pretty convincing.
Perry’s response to the rumor: “Well, we fight like cousins.” She also added, “Wow, I’m going to have to ask her if this is true or if we should, like, get blood tests together or something.”
