Another Major iPhone Bug Has Just Been Reported
Oh great, just what we need … another iPhone bug!
Unfortunately, this one sounds like a major pain in the rear!
According to Buzzfeed, the bug, named chaiOS, can freeze your phone — In some cases causing it to crash if you receive an iMessage with a malicious code.

What’s more, even if iPhone owners don’t click on the link, their phone will still experience issues.
If you do receive an iMessage like this, your phone will likely crash for a few moments before it is able to right itself — But, your message app will continue to experience issues and crash.
It appears the bug is affecting iOS 10.0 – 11.2.5.
Buzzfeed also noted that Apple has yet to respond to the inquiry.
What’s currently being advised is for iPhone users to delete and suspicious iMessage if they are able to do so.
If you can’t you may be able to restore your phone back to its factory settings, however, it’s important to keep in mind that doing so will wipe your phone clean and remove all your data and photos.
It’s also recommended that users always install the latest iOS update, that way Apple can remedy the situation with a security patch.
The malicious code was initiated from GitHub, so blocking the domain is another option. However, if the malicious code is hosted on another domain you receive an iMessage from, this fix offers little protection.
