Communities across the country along with local police departments are preparing for National Night Out. The annual event will take place on Tuesday, August 1st!
National Night Out is a community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. It is set up in your local community so that you feel safer and ultimately have a more caring place to live.
Residents throughout New Jersey are invited to attend National Night Out events which are free and open to the public. Neighborhoods typically coordinate parades, block parties, among other events hosted by your local police department.
The events can include a variety of activities such as games, raffles, inflatables, K9 demos, food trucks, and more. In addition, those in attendance will also have a chance to meet the men and women in uniform keeping our communities safe.
