1.Kelis
A graduate, of the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu culinary school, the “Milkshake” singer is actually a certified chef, who in addition to singing and songwriting owns a sauce line called Bounty & Full. Kelis, who also owns a farm, has authored a cookbook titled My Life on a Plate: Recipes From Around the World (2015). “I’ve been cooking all of my life. I think as we get older we start to focus on what brings us joy. Cooking has always been at the top of my list,” Kelis told Ebony magazine in 2015.
2. Mo’Nique
Actress and comedian Mo’Nique has been on a healthier living journey for a while now. She frequently shares her work out routines and recipes that she comes up with via social media. Mo’Nique typically shares her recipes with plant-based meals. However, from time to time, she does incorporate some dairy into her meals.
3.Oprah
It’s no secret that media mogul Oprah Winfrey knows her way around the kitchen. She also has a huge garden that she plants plenty of fruit and vegetables in, as well as use them for meals. Winfrey also has her own frozen food brand entitled O That’s Good that carries everything from frozen pizza to mashed potatoes to soup. Ayesha Curry is known for being a good cook. She currently hosts her own cooking show entitled Ayesha’s Homemade on the Food Network. Curry is also the author of a cookbook, The Seasoned Life, which was published in 2016. Curry has also been a host of the Great American Baking Show as well as the American version of the Great British Bake Off on ABC. She also even has her own line of pots and pans.
7. Chrissy Tiegen
Model Chrissy Tiegen is in the kitchen cooking when she’s not modeling or making her Twitter followers laugh hysterically. In 2013, she was featured on a cooking special on the Cooking Channel titled Chrissy Teigen’s Hungry, which was centered around her wedding menu tasting with then-fiancé John Legend. Tiegen also had another show on the Cooking Channel titled Cookies and Cocktails.

It’s no secret that Patti LaBelle can cook. Years ago, she debuted her popular sweet potato pies at Walmart, which went viral. The “If You Only Knew” singer’s pie company called Patti’s Good Life also offers fruit cobblers (peach and various other berries) that are also available for purchase at Walmart. In 2019, LaBelle introduced her new frozen soul food line that includes traditional soul food dishes such as mac-n-cheese, collard greens, and chicken and biscuits.
