Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Has Been Released From Prison
Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino did his time, and now he is a free man. The Jersey Shore star was officially released from the Otisville Federal Correctional Institution this morning. He was completing a sentence for tax evasion.
In a statement to People, Mike and his wife Lauren said, “We are elated to finally close this chapter of our life. Thank you to our family, friends, and fans for the continuous love and support during this time, it brought us so much and comfort.” The couple adds, “We look forward to continuing our life as husband and wife and working on baby situations!”
Mike also went on Twitter to post right after he was released. His first post out of jail reads, “Turn up we free !!! #freesitch.”

Mike Sorrentino’s brother, Marc, is still finishing his two-year sentence. Marc was charged with aiding in the preparation of a false and fraudulent tax return.
TMZ adds that there have been production vehicles spotted where the cast usually films in New Jersey, so Mike’s release will most likely be on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
