Jennifer Garner Covers ‘People Magazine’s’ ‘Most Beautiful’ Issue
It’s official: People Magazine has named Jennifer Garner its “most beautiful” woman for their annual issue.
Garner covers the magazine’s issue, which hits newsstands Friday, proclaiming that she is “grateful every day.”
The former Alias star and ex-wife of Ben Affleck is a mom to three kids: Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 7.
And while she has acted in dozens of shows and films and has high-profile endorsement deals with Capital One and Neutrogena, Garner says her most important job is being a mom.
“I’m starting to get to the point where I realize this job is not going to be forever,” Garner told People. “Not in the all-encompassing every meal, every moment, everyday way that I have loved for the last thirteen years. It’s going to shift. But there’s beauty in how it works in episodes.”
Garner says she doesn’t consider herself beautiful and even revealed that fans constantly tell her she is prettier in person.
“They tell me I’m prettier in person than I am on screen,” the actress, 47, said. “You might as well see it for the compliment that they mean it to be. That happens, if I’m out and about, every day at some point. I don’t know what it is, but that is by far what I hear the most.”
Some of Garner’s glow may also be attributed to her blissful ignorance of what people are saying about her online. In fact, when asked how many comments she will read, she answered plainly and simply, “zero.”
“Not only do I not read comments, I work very hard to not see the pictures, to not read articles or to know what’s out there at all,” she said. “And it’s not that I don’t care, it’s that I care too much. Instagram is a different story because I don’t get a lot of people being mean.”
