There was a time when spitting was necessary when we ate some delicious juicy melon on a hot summer day. Then one day the misery ended. I’m hoping that sometime soon they’ll eliminate that pesky rind too.
Now, the next amazing invention or creation to make life easier has arrived. If you’re usually the one who hosts Thanksgiving, this will make your prep time much shorter and your overall experience much more enjoyable.
The plump bird folks at Butterball have created a new stress-free option for cooking that big bird this year. They’ve developed a turkey that's ready to roast straight from the freezer. This means all of that time waiting for the turkey to defrost is eliminated.
Thanksgiving falls almost as late as possible this year, on Nov. 28th. That gives us all extra time to remember to order a bird so we can lug it home, thaw it out, do that brine thing, and cook it in time for everyone to enjoy while arguing about politics, and tolerating that jerk uncle we avoid all year.
New Easy to Cook Turkey is Here
Now we’ll have even more time with Butterball's new Cook from Frozen Premium Whole Turkey. It helps the Thanksgiving hosts eliminate a large chunk of their prep time. Imagine that, straight out of the freezer and into the oven.
We’ll no longer have to Google how to thaw a turkey because of this amazing solution that saves time and a lot of stress.
Michelle Lieszkovszky is the head of innovation at Butterball, and told Good Morning America, "Consumers love the ease and simplicity of Butterball's new Cook from Frozen turkey. In fact, over 70% of our experienced hosts indicated that they wanted more convenience at Thanksgiving, while our younger hosts reported that cooking a turkey is intimidating. This solves both the fears and frustrations around serving a turkey. It's effortless, reliable and a golden-brown showstopper."
This is the first time this has ever existed, the turkey preparation has just two easy steps, you unwrap it and then roast it. They claim the turkey has a special brine that keeps the bird moist and juicy. There's nothing to remove from the bird, it’s ready to go.
You’re probably thinking what I’m thinking, how is it going to taste, and what about the stuffing? We’ll find out next month when the new turkeys will hit the supermarkets and food stores everywhere.
5 Celebrities That Would Be Great Guests At A Dinner Party
If you were hosting a dinner party for celebrities, who would you invite? Would you pick your 5 favorites? Or would you have a strategy with it?
Thanks to The Office, dinner parties have gotten a bad rep. However, they don't always end in absolute disaster! It's all about picking the right guests who can all get along and share something in common. Just like making a cocktail, there's a recipe for the perfect dinner party. Add a little bit too much of a certain ingredient and you can ruin the drink. Likewise, if you don't put enough of the right stuff into the cocktail, you're not going to get any feeling out of it or any rush. I think these 5 celebrities would be great guests at a dinner party.
5 Celebrities That Would Be Great Guests At A Dinner Party
Start thinking about the celebrity guests you'd invite if you were hosting a dinner party. Maybe some of them will end up making the list! First, let's mull the characteristics that go into a good dinner party guest.
For starters, you want somebody who's entertaining. While your favorite tortured poet might sound like a good idea, you might be a tad disappointed by their energy bringing the mood down on the dinner. Remember, you have to consider the other guests as well! Who are they going to get along with or be interested in? Someone like Ben Stein might not be the guy! Wow, that's a dated reference but he's just the most boring person I could think of off the top of my head.
Next, you want a bit of excitement! You want to have some characters at the dinner party who might surprise you and keep everyone on their toes. An important part of having a dinner party is securing the second party and having people want to come back over! So, you need to get them talking and leaving with a positive reflection on the night. Consider adding someone with a little spice to keep things interesting--without going overboard with it.
Next, you want good people at your dinner party. If someone has a reputation for being unkind, maybe they aren't the best guest. So, make sure to do your homework ahead of time to ensure that you're not inviting someone over who others will see on the invite list and instantly send their regrets for not being able to make it. Personally, I'm thinking these five celebrity dinner guests would make for great entertainment. What do you think?
Snoop Dogg
https://youtu.be/mAgbSaF_UoM?si=wlgJWYClG4HMJU26 Umm...did you watch the 2024 Paris Olympics? Snoop Dogg was the star of the show! Anything he does is hilarious. He would be the best celebrity dinner guest. As we saw during the Olympic Games, it's clear he has no problem talking publicly about stuff he doesn't know much about, and that's needed at a dinner party! He's probably picked up some tips and tricks from his friend Martha Stewart that he can bring to the party, too. Snoop is always invited.
Guy Fieri
https://youtu.be/X_TG05l6hBA?si=aiZkCvF4oJgXGRBN I think Guy Fieri seems like a good dude. He seemingly gets along with everyone from the line cook on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives to the biggest of celebrity guests. So, no matter who's at the dinner party Guy will be able to entertain and have fun. He won't make anyone feel unwanted. Additionally, I feel like you need someone familiar with food at your dinner party. He can be in charge of the food. You can't forget about the importance of food at your dinner party. Also, I hear he's a tequila guy. He's getting invited.
Larry David
https://youtu.be/MfZEDMsOrCk?si=OwWEt3POl55pcdHR I believe Larry David could be one of the funniest people walking earth today. Also, I feel like we'd get along. From what I've seen from him, we have a shared perspective on life and being around other people. So, I think he'd be a great guest to have at any dinner party. That way, I'm not the only one who doesn't want to be there! Larry would help me feel comfortable, and who knows what he might say? The guy is a Social Assassin, after all. It might go horribly wrong and blow up in my face, but I'd love to invite him to the dinner party. Even if it goes bad, it will still be entertaining. I just hope he accepts the invitation.
Seth Rogen
https://youtu.be/NQLbcf5by2o?si=p5M3As96HONb7rdF Seth Rogen seems like such a relatable guy. Not only would I love to hang out with him, but I feel like he'd love to hang out with me. He's funny, has great stories, and seems like a chill guy. I think he'd vibe with the other guests at the party. I've seen him do stuff with Snoop before so we know they'd hit it off. Seth and Larry would probably be a funny team together. How could I not invite Seth to the party?
Ana de Armas
https://youtu.be/W5-9mVvPcGs?si=jGteDB_vDUQXFPKL I didn't want this dinner party to be like a guys night out type of thing, so Ana de Armas is getting the invite, as well. She's stunningly beautiful, but during interviews she also seems like a genuine person who's also probably unexpectedly hilarious. I'd love to chat with her and pick her brain. She could teach me some Spanish and maybe bring some Spanish food to the party? That would be appreciate to have some small plates, mojitos, or tapas. Plus, if nobody else accepts the invite and she shows up...that's a date, right?
