As we earlier reported, Majors was found guilty of one count of assault and one count of harassment. He was acquitted of two other counts of assault and aggravated harassment in a split verdict Monday (December 18). Per ABC News, the Lovecraft Country star’s misdemeanor charges come from a March altercation in New York City with Jabbari. The verdict came after about 5 hours of deliberations over three days. The mixed verdict is a result of the jury believing Majors recklessly assaulted his ex-girlfriend but did not intentionally do so. Footage of the night in question was widely circulated on social media and was shown to the jury. The mixed decision found Majors didn’t commit aggravated harassment inside the SUV the two were in.

Addtionally, he won’t be in an unannounced Otis Redding biopic which the actor was considering.
