‘The Flash 2’ Script Is Written Despite Ezra Miller Controversies
The Flash won’t be out in theaters until next year, but the script for a sequel film is reportedly already written despite the arrests and controversies surrounding the star, Ezra Miller. Miller, 30, most recently pleaded Not Guilty to a Vermont burglary charge that could carry up to 26 years in prison. The actor is accused of breaking into a residence on May 1. After investigating at the time, Vermont State Police had discovered several missing bottles of alcohol from the property. The homeowners were not present at the time of the incident. After collecting statements and reviewing surveillance footage, police charged Miller with felony burglary.
The petit larceny charge states that the stolen items were less than $900 in total value. Miller also agreed to not have any contact with the homeowner or return to the residence.
According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. Discovery is moving forward on “several fronts” for its A-List characters like Batman, Aquaman and Superman. There are rumors that Henry Cavill may return as Superman. According to the report, the script for the sequel has already been written in case The Flash does well when it is released next year. The report does not offer details about Miller’s involvement future projects. Miller’s continued involvement in the project (and reported extra filming while in the midst of other investigations) remains a sticking point for many, the publication reports.
Last month, Miller apologized for their past behavior and began undergoing mental health treatment. “Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” Miller said in a statement. “I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”
The Flash is currently scheduled to hit theaters on June 23, 2023 after many delays, with Miller starring in the titular role.
