Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Reunite for Virgil Abloh Final Collection
Kim Kardashian and her estranged husband Kanye West reunited for a sad occasion.
The former couple was in Miami last night with their daughter North, 8, celebrating the life and legacy of Virgil Abloh by attending a presentation of the late fashion designer’s final Louis Vuitton collection at Miami Marine Stadium. Kim, 41, and Kanye, 44, were close friends with Abloh and were seated front row for the runway show, titled “Virgil Was Here.”

Kim posted a touching tribute to Abloh on Instagram Monday writing, “God doesn’t make mistakes. I know that but I still can’t help but ask why. Why Virgil?! Why him so soon? it’s simply hard to understand why. I have a hard time understanding why so many pure souls were taken away so early. Virgil- you were always so gentle, kind and calm. You somehow made time for everyone. We also talked about your superpower of calmness often. You always gave so much of yourself to the world because you wanted it to be doper. This one is hard to process. I can’t even believe I am writing this… We will miss you so much Virgil and love you so much. Also I would love to send so much love to his wife Shannon. Because you loved and supported Virgil the way that you did, he was able to give so much of himself everyone else. So thank you truly for sharing him with us the way that you did. Virgil’s legacy will live on forever through Shannon, Lowe and Grey. 🕊”
Abloh, who tragically passed away at the age of 41 after a private battle with a rare form of cancer for several years, was Louis Vuitton’s men’s artistic director from 2018 until his death.
Per gossip website TMZ, the show’s closed with Virgil’s voice saying, “Life is so short that you can’t waste a day subscribing to what someone thinks you can do vs. what you CAN do” and a beautiful firework show with the city of Miami backdrop.
Kid Cudi, who also had close ties Abloh, modeled Virgil’s last designs on the runway and did a performance of “Moon.” Quavo, Pharrell, Gunna, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Gunna and Metro Boomin were also in attendance.

The show wrapped with the LV design team, some in tears, getting a standing round of ovation from those in attendance followed by Virgil’s voice saying, “Life is so short that you can’t waste a day subscribing to what someone thinks you can do vs. what you CAN do.” and a beautiful firework show with the city of Miami as the backdrop.
