Kristen Stewart Wants Guy Fieri To Officiate Her Wedding
Kristen Stewart has started to think about her wedding planning — including who she wants to officiate her nuptials to fiancée Dylan Meyer.
Per People magazine, the Spencer actress said on Tuesday (November 2) that she and Meyer want one of Food Network’s quirkiest chefs: Guy Fieri. Stewart, 31, said she and Meyer would likely officiate the wedding themselves, but admitted, “We did hear that Guy Fieri from the Food Network officiates a lot of gay weddings.”
She added, “So, the idea of that man—that sweet, sweet spikey headed man—coming to our wedding and officiate it, it just makes me laugh so much.”
Fieri, 53, made headlines in 2015 when he officiated 101 gay weddings in Miami. The Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives officiated all of them at the annual South Beach Wine & Food Festival that year in honor of his late sister, who was gay.
Aside from wanting Flavortown’s president as her officiant, Stewart revealed she plans to ditch the wedding gown and will instead wear jeans and a cut-off tuxedo t-shirt for the ceremony. She also said she and Meyer won’t have a live band for their celebration, “No, you need the hits.”
Stewart first revealed she and Meyer were engaged on Tuesday, “We’re marrying, we’re totally gonna do it. I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted and she nailed it. It was really cute, she did very well. We’re marrying, it’s happening.”
The Twilight alum recalled how she said she couldn’t “f—ing wait” to get engaged to Meyer back in 2019, saying she had an elaborate proposal already planned. At the time, she explained they had known each other for six years after meeting on the set of a movie. After Stewart split with model Stella Maxwell that year, she and Meyer got together that summer.
