Patrick Wilson Nails ‘Cast Away’ Impression with ‘Aquaman’ Director
Patrick Wilson looked completely unrecognizable in a photo that Aquaman director James Wan shared to his Instagram account yesterday (September 7).
In the photo, the 48-year-old actor is shirtless, flashing his very toned and tanned torso while sporting an unkempt beard and a heavily weathered pair of pants as he stood next to the filmmaker.
Wan, 44, wrote a hilarious message in the post’s caption that read: “I found this guy @thereelpatrickwilson stranded on a desert beach, doing his Cast Away impression. #Aquaman.” Wilson shared Wan’s photo on his Story, cleverly adding, “You don’t need a volleyball when your name is Wilson.”
On Sunday (September 5), The Conjuring actor shared a photo to his own Instagram account, showing off to his fans a better look at his chiseled physique. Wilson captured himself mid-run, allowing us to see his chest and leg muscles flexing as he’s training in a field.
The actor alluded to his role as Orm Marius, also known as Ocean Master, in the 2018 DC film Aquaman, writing, “Can Atlanteans Run? #SeeOrmRun #RunOrmRun #aquamanandthelostkingdom.”
Wilson is currently set to reprise his role as Orm in the forthcoming superhero sequel, entitled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Jason Momoa and Amber Heard are also set to reprise their roles as Aquaman and Mera. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Dolph Lundgren, Pilou Asbæk and Temuera Morrison are also set to appear in the upcoming film.
Jason Momoa shared a photo of his new suit for the sequel on Instagram, captioning, “Second round. New suit. More action. #aquaman Aloha j.” The gold and green suit has been swapped for a darker, sleeker teal and silver one.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is currently slated for a release date of December 16th, 2022.
