Queen Elizabeth Supports Harry And Meghan Markle’s Period Of Transition
Queen Elizabeth II is being supportive in wake of Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to take a step back from the royal family and become financially independent.
As CNN explains, there was a “crisis meeting” held to resolve all the royal matters. “The Queen said she had agreed that Prince Harry and Meghan could split their time between the UK and Canada but that ‘complex matters’ would have to be resolved. The monarch said she had ordered final plans to be drawn up in the next few days.”
The royal family has also released a statement to announce their stance on the subject. They explain that they’d rather have the pair remain full-time working members of the royal family, but they respect and understand their decision. “No final agreement had been reached, particularly over Harry and Meghan’s desire to become ‘financially independent.’ There is some more work to be done, but I have asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days,” the Queen also adds.
