Former ‘Bachelor’ Star ‘Really Sick’ After Vacation in Dominican Republic
Bachelor star Melissa Rycroft seems to be one of the latest victims to get sick after traveling to the Dominican Republic, according to Page Six.
Earlier this week, a New Jersey man was confirmed to be the ninth American to die after traveling to the island.
Now, it’s been revealed that Rycroft has been sick since returning from a family vacation at the Nickelodeon Resort in Punta Cana.
A source told the site that Rycroft has been “really sick,” but that the television star “isn’t worried.”
Still, her rep told Page Six that she has been suffering from “major stomach issues since returning from the Dominican Republic.”
“She got an upset stomach on the second day of vacation, but it passed. Once they came home, she got severe cramping,” the rep said. “It has lasted for over a week, and she’s currently getting tested for possible parasites and any other infections. She’s assuming it’s something foodborne, but no one else in her family is ill.”
