Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, The Rock & More Make Time’s ‘100 Most Influential’ Issue
Time Magazine released its annual “100 Most Influential” issue Wednesday and, as usual, it’s filled of Hollywood’s biggest names.
Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Michelle Obama and Gayle King are among just a few of the names that made this year’s list.
Each profile features a write-up from a fellow star who is either close to or inspired by the honoree. Among the notable profiles are Michelle Obama’s, written by Beyonce; Dwayne Johnson’s, written by Gal Gadot; and former Grey’s Anatomy star Sandra Oh’s, written by Shonda Rhimes.
Of his friend and fellow singer, Shawn Mendes wrote on Taylor Swift: “Taylor makes anyone older feel young again and anyone young feel they can do anything. It’s so rare and so special. If there is one thing I want to achieve in my career and life, it’s that.”
On Oh’s success as an Emmy-winner for her role in Killing Eve, Rhimes said the actress “treats dialogue like notes of music – every word must be played, every syllable correctly toned.”
On Grande, singer Troye Sivan wrote, “Through just about the craziest storms and whirlwinds I can imagine, Ariana Grande remains the most real person I’ve met.”
