In a joint statement, the couple let their fans know that they were going to get through this difficult time. They also included that they would remain friends and will continue to support each other.
Obviously, this is not the outcome Williams or Gilbert had hoped for. The couple also made it clear that they had no intentions of discussing this private decision any further.
