2025 SUV of the Year: MotorTrend Crowns the Best in Class
It’s that time of year again when car enthusiasts wait to learn which vehicles MotorTrend will crown the best in class.
It happens every year, MotorTrend selects one new 2025 car, truck, and SUV to receive the prestigious title of the absolute best in each of the categories.
It’s October, and they’re kicking it off with the Sport Utility Vehicle of the Year. MotorTrend, the well respected and the world renowned automotive authority will reveal one winner each month starting this month.
MotorTrend 2025 SUV of the Year
Today, I spoke with MotorTrend’s Vice President of Content and Head of Editorial, Ed Loh, to get an insider’s view into the first major reveal. Ed shared, with much fanfare, that the MotorTrend 2025 SUV of the Year is the Lincoln Nautilus. He then explained why, “It’s an absolutely fantastic vehicle, a 5-passenger, 2-row luxury SUV. It’s beautifully designed, gorgeous aviation-inspired exterior, but really on the inside is where it’s got it going on. Obviously, very luxurious and loaded with technology starting with a jaw-dropping 48 customizable panoramic screen across the dashboard, it expands the entire dashboard. They call it the Lincoln digital experience. It’s also great efficiency and safety story.”
