Naya Rivera Update: The 911 Call And Info About Her Disappearance From The Search Team

The Ventura County Sheriff's department just had a media briefing to provide an update about the search for Naya Rivera.

Per E! News, Ventura County Sheriff Deputy Chris Dyer confirmed that there are no signs of foul play and no signs that anything went wrong other than a tragic accident. He stated, "The goal is still to bring Ms. Rivera home to her family so that they can have closure."

Authorities also discussed Lake Piru and revealed that it is not a natural lake, but rather a man-made reservoir. "It is deep. Up to 130 feet in spots and loaded with debris on the bottom."

Additionally, they went into detail about searching for Naya while staying safe. "There are challenges and safety issues at the sight. Despite complaints that authorities suspended search efforts overnight, visibility for divers in the lake, during the day, is exceedingly limited somewhere between five and nine [feet]. You can't see at night."

The Ventura Sheriffs also tweeted out a recording of the 911 call reporting Naya missing.

E! News also adds that rescue units went into calling the search a rescue mission, but they are now calling it a recovery operation.

To recap, Naya went missing yesterday on Lake Piru in Southern California. Her four-year-old son was discovered on a boat alone and asleep.

Since the news went public that Naya was missing, many celebs have posted about her disappearance and showed support. Fellow Glee actress Heather Morris wrote on her Instagram story, "We need all the prayers we can get to bring our Naya back home to us. We need your light and love."

Her other co-star Chord Overstreet added, "love and hug on the people you can, while you can. I love you. Everyone please send out your prayers." Demi Lovato also wrote a message to fans to pray for Naya's return.

Although Big Sean, who Naya dated in 2013-2014, hasn't made a public statement about her disappearance, he has liked tweets from fans in support. Some of the tweets are below.
