They explain that Weinstein "Was found guilty of criminal sexual act in the first-degree for forcibly performing oral sex on former 'Project Runway' production assistant Miriam 'Mimi' “Haleyi and rape in the third-degree for the rape of hairstylist Jessica Mann." He was, however, acquitted of predatory sexual assault. That would have been a life sentence.
TMZ explains that a jury of seven men and five women reached their verdict after almost six days on deliberations. They add, "This comes after an interesting turn on Friday ... when the jurors sent a note to the judge asking if they could be hung on 2 counts of predatory sexual assault and unanimous on the others." They were told by the judge to deliberate until today.
Weinstein has pleaded not-guilty and has denied all allegations against him. He still faces four sexual assault charges in Los Angeles.
