The actor confirmed the news to Extra saying, "It happened on the very northernmost point of Oahu, at Turtle Bay. It was kind of spontaneous. It was very much a surprise." He explains, "I had the ring in my pocket.. It has kind of been a month-and-a-half-plan. I wanted it to be private."
Page Six adds that his fiancé was taking a selfie of them when the engagement happened.
Laura Savoie is a Ph.D. student at the University of Texas. They have been dating since this summer.
