Mindy Kaling Names Her Daughter Katherine Kaling

Mindy Kaling gave birth over the weekend, according to E! News.

The "unexpected surprise," as it was called was a great one, because Mindy has always wanted to be a parent and was "really excited" to be a mom, as she told NBC's Today show.

We still currently don't know who the father is publicly, but we have to say, that might be a cool way of running it. Everyone puts some much emphasis on parents as in plural, and the fact that Mindy is moving forward as the sole single mom, and charging forward without having to involve the public in her personal life or baby's lineage is honestly pretty cool.

She also shared that she wanted to be a fun mom, and a dorky mom, so baby Katherine is going to have the time of her life.
