My love for music started when I was given Meet The Beatles on my fourth birthday. A year later, I used birthday money to buy my first batch of 7” singles. Petula Clark’s “Downtown” was the first one I picked out. I gravitated to listening to radio as it helped build my music library, which to this day is still growing!
When I started college my parents and I were under the assumption that I would study to become an accountant. That all changed the day I walked into the offices and studios of WJCS at Jersey City State College (now New Jersey City University). From there I moved on to programming/on-air/research and producing positions at WPLJ, WFDU, WHTG, WLIR, Z-100, K-Rock, WCHR, Sirius, XM and a weekly podcast on Cygnus Radio.
My first concert was Queen at The Beacon Theatre in NYC in 1976. Since then, I have attended well over 6,000 shows. I still get out to see at least 1-2 per week! The band I have seen the most? U2. 56 times since their American debut show on 12/6/80 at The Ritz (now called Webster Hall). I have met and interviewed over 2,000 artists.
I was born and raised in New Jersey. I love spending time with my wife, family and friends. The Houston Astros, Utah Jazz, Oakland Raiders and New York Rangers are my sport teams of choice.
Being on the air, playing music, and entertaining a listening audience has been and will always be my passion. I am thrilled to be on the air at Magic 98.3!
