Her fans congratulated her, but much of Twitter wasn't too happy about the title, with many wondering why it didn't go to Doja Cat, Lil Nas X or Chloe Bailey.
"This year has been absolutely insane and surreal and wonderful in every aspect," Rodrigo says in her Time interview. "It's such a huge honor to be Time's Entertainer of the Year. To be recognized in this way is just a real privilege. I'm very lucky."
