• 5) NSYNC – Merry Christmas (Happy Holidays)

  Yeah I said it! NSYNC is on my list because this song is a whole mood setter. No matter what, once this song is on your radio, you have a little turn up session because it immediately puts you in the Christmas spirit!

• 4) Burl Ives – Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer

  Enough with all these artists remaking classic holiday songs. Nobody can do it better in my opinion than Burl Ives. It’s crazy, as much as I love this song, I still can’t remember all the names of the Reindeer. Either way, it’s a song every generation knows which makes it one of the greatest of all time.

• 3) Mary J Blige – This Christmas

  Talk about a song that will lift you off your butt! Yes, Mary J Blige has one of the greatest Christmas songs of all time, but many aren’t prepared to have that conversation. This song will get the whole family dancing around the Christmas tree!

• 2) John Lennon – Happy Xmas

  “So this is Christmas”, by far one of the most famous lines ever established during a Christmas song. A lot of people don’t know that this song was established by John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono as a protest against America’s involvement in the Vietnam War. Yes, this song has a political message to it, but it can be interpreted in so many ways to today’s generation. Whether you’re going through a rough time in life or you’re just not it the best of moods during the holiday season, just know your own personal war (thoughts) can be over….if you want it.

• 1) Bruce Springsteen – Merry Christmas Baby

  Nothing can compete with live music! Bruce Springsteen’s “Merry Christmas Baby” is one of those songs that puts a smile on your face the second you hear it start. You hear the crowd cheering and you hear the excitement in Springsteen’s voice as he’s about to sing so you know it’s all about having fun! In my opinion, this is the greatest Christmas song of all time!
